Sky have just provided Windows Phone users with access to their Sky Sports app. It arrives in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup which is beginning tonight. The international sporting event kicks off with a match between the World Cup’s home nation Brazil and competitors Croatia.
The app has been available on iOS and Android for some time. But, like many apps, it has taken a while to be released for Windows Phone. The Sky Sports app will provide users with news updates as soon as they break. It also has live scores of the World Cup matches alongside information about fixtures, results and group tables.
However, the Sky Sports app is not just for use during the World Cup. It also covers a range of other events like cricket, golf, tennis, boxing, racing and rugby. You can filter the content depending on what sports take your particular interest. It also means that the Sky Sports app has a lifespan beyond the end of the World Cup.
Customers who are on a mobile network that provides a 4G connection will be able to enjoy audio and video content on the go. These include highlights of some of the top sporting matches and clips from post or pre-match interviews.
It is the perfect mobile application for a summer of sport, and is highly rated on the iOS and Andoid app stores.
The Sky Sports app runs on phones with as little as 510MB of RAM. It is currently free to download on handsets that are compatible with Windows Phone 7.5, Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1. You can get it from the Windows Phone store today.
If you are having an issue with the Sky app, or any other Sky services, you can ring the Sky contact phone number for assistance today.
