It’s a good day for Tesco Mobile customers as the supermarket network announced that all customers including those on Pay as You Go will now be offered 4G speeds at absolutely no extra cost.
Tesco Mobile uses O2’s network, which developed a 4G connection earlier in the year. However, from today, all users on Tesco Mobile will be able to use the 4G speeds. The pay monthly subscribers have been able to use the connection for a few months.
When making the announcement, Tesco Mobile said that the world was becoming more ‘data hungry’. Chief Marketing Officer Simon Groves said:
“No one likes being made to wait around and we see no reason why our pay as you go customers shouldn’t have access to the same speeds as the pay monthly ones; which is why we now offer 4G to all our customers at prices that are accessible to everyone.”
There are a number of data bundles available from 500mb to 8gb. If you don’t wish to pay for a bundle, you can enjoy the 4G speeds for just 10p per MB. Recently released phones now have 4G capabilities and Tesco Mobile has confirmed that its new 4G bundles will be available alongside a range of handsets including the Motorola Moto G 4G and the Nokia Lumia 635.
